The 30-minute original docuseries will showcase the team at Oscar’s Place Adoption Center & Sanctuary and dozens of volunteers’ work to rescue, rehab and re-home donkeys, whose global population is threatened.

About Oscar's Place
Oscar’s Place rescues donkeys from auctions and welcomes them home to our ranch in Hopland, California. We also take in owner surrenders from people who can no longer care for their animal to prevent them from ending up in the auction system.
Every donkey receives the food, shelter, medicine, training, and love they need to recover both physically and emotionally. Some are adopted into a new forever home with carefully screened adopters, while others find lifelong sanctuary in our care.
Our promise to each donkey who walks through our gates is simple: we will do everything in our power to keep them safe, healthy, happy, and together with their bonded companion for the rest of their life.

About the Skin Trade
At least 5.9 million donkeys are being slaughtered globally for their skin every year for use in Traditional Chinese Medicine. This trade is inhumane, unsustainable, unsafe, and has to stop.
Donkeys have lived and worked alongside humans for thousands of years and they continue to support millions of people to this day. They are currently facing their biggest threat ever, and we owe it to them and the livelihoods they support to help and put a stop to the brutal donkey skin trade.
