Rosie is a wild donkey who came to Oscar’s Place pregnant and without a whole lot known about her. With an impending pregnancy, Ron tasks Hugo to begin working with Rosie and start socializing her as much as he can to make it easier when the team will need to get their hands on Rosie’s baby for a neo-natal exam.

Rosie surprises everyone with a rare, midday pasture birth, but the team is in position to assist in case of emergency – which winds up being necessary, when Rosie’s foal gets pinned up against a fence. Hugo’s work with Rosie gets her and her foal into the barn and out of the cold, and a day later, Dr. Kerry is able to check on them and confirm that baby Perl is a very healthy baby!
