S1:E11 No Donkeys Left Behind

One of the most impactful ways you can make a difference is by sponsoring a donkey at Oscar’s Place. Meet our permanent resident donkeys and become a monthly donor!

Ron’s latest auction rescue is there most ambitious yet: saving 45 donkeys!

Between their efforts, private owners, and another rescue, Ron proudly boasts that no donkey was left behind at the auction. Unfortunately, all 45 donkeys arriving aren’t in the best condition.

Inga, a mini donkey, has scary-high triglyceride levels and needs an IV. Clark has a terrible cough, and the worst wheezing Ron has ever heard. Casanova has the worst case of Ballerina Syndrome the team has ever seen and is seemingly walking on her tip toes. Fortunately, early detection and IV treatment prevent a trip to the animal hospital for Inga. Clark has asthma, but Edgar and the team treat him with an inhaler and after a while he sounds infinitely better.

Lastly, while the team is still concerned with Casanova’s long-term quality of life, adding deep sand to her stall is helping stretch her tendons and give her some temporary comfort, though it’s not a long-term solution. After two months of being in quarantine at Oscar’s Place, these donkeys finally seem to be settling in, and Ron and his team have delivered on his promise to keep them safe, happy, and healthy the rest of their lives!
