For nearly two years, Megan has been hoping to rescue a mother/daughter donkey duo in rough shape after their primary caretaker passed away.
Now, the moment to act has finally come. It’s a bittersweet decision for Carla, the current owner, to let go of Rosalie and Chrissy, but without her late husband, she hasn’t been able to give them the care they deserve - especially an aging Rosalie. After a tense trailer loading, Megan ushers the duo safely to Ron and the team. Rosalie arrives in poor condition, but with corrective hoof trims and proper care, she's set on a better path. Everyone knows Rosalie won’t be around forever, but there’s no better place for a senior donkey to spend her final chapter.
