Meet Cali
Cali arrived at Oscar’s Place on New Year’s Eve 2022 after being rescued from an auction. She was young and very small. From day one, she was a total sweetheart and loved people. In July 2023, Cali found her perfect forever home! She went to live with another donkey named Coco and a wonderful family.
We got this sweet update from her adopter, Gail: “I thought you’d enjoy seeing what a tall gal Cali has become. It’s hard to tell from the photo, but her withers [the tallest point of a donkey’s body, between their shoulder blades] are at least ten or so inches above Coco’s. And her hind legs still look like grasshoppers! She’s as sweet as she can be and such a character! She and Coco are never more than two inches apart… eating, playing, sleeping. So heartwarming to see their bond!” — Gail, Cali’s adopter
Once a tiny girl, it is amazing to hear how Cali has grown (in more ways than one) at her forever home. Learn more about adopting a donkey from Oscar’s Place.
